Rain? needs location access to fetch your forecast. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Rain? and select "While Using the App". Make sure Location Services is also turned on globally.
Apple WeatherKit's minute-by-minute precipitation data isn't available in all regions. The app will fall back to hourly data where possible, but some locations may have limited coverage. Apple is continuously expanding their coverage.
Rain? uses Apple WeatherKit, the same data source that powers the built-in Weather app on iPhone. Minute-by-minute precipitation forecasts are inherently less certain than longer-range predictions, but they're the best available data for answering "will it rain right now?".
No. Rain? collects zero data. Your location is sent directly to Apple's weather service (not to us) and is never tracked or stored. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Tap the "Refresh Forecast" button at the bottom of the screen. The app fetches fresh data from Apple WeatherKit each time you tap.
